1921 MALAYALAM MOVIE BOX OFFICE REPORTS
Mammootty starrer '1921' is one of the most notable films released in Malayalam which tells the story of the Indian freedom struggle.
Controversy arose before and after the film's release. Didi Damodaran, the daughter of Damodaran Master, recently said that writing the script for the film was a big challenge then. Didi, who was a graduate at the time, and Dr. N Gopala Krishnan also helped T Damodaran. Deedee said in an interview that the controversy has helped the film to great success.
Director IV Sasi used the costumes of the 1921 riots and the social conditions of the time in the same way. 1921 was released as one of the biggest budgets ever seen in Malayalam cinema. In the movie, there was a huge cast. Besides Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Madhu, Mukesh, TG Ravi, Soman, Ratheesh, KP Ummer Balan, K Nair, Janardhanan, Vincent Seema, Parvathi, Urvashi and many more were in the list of 1921 stars in Malayalam cinema ... !!
There is only one answer to the question of what is the backbone of this 1921 film. Mammootty in the lead role as Khader! The same Mammootty who portrayed Ravi Varma of Nirakoot, GK of New Delhi and Sethurama Iyer of the CBI diary portrayed Khader, a freedom fighter. Mammootty's role as Khader has been the talk of the movie critics for a long time ..!
1921 was also the most crowded film in front of and behind the camera at that time. The beginning of 1921 was at T Damodaran's outhouse near the Kozhikode fish market (the outhouse below is the outhouse which is still locked).
