# Vesham - 16 yearsIt has been 16 years since the third biggest hit of 2004 was written in Mammootty's name. Despite the mixed review of VM Vinu's 'Balletan's Copy', the film that told the story of Kozhikode had to break the box office achievements of many famous actors not for one or two years but for 9 long years ... !!!
The film, which has set an all-time record collection in the Malabar area, grossed around Rs 78 lakh in 76 days from the Kozhikode center. Even 2 years later, even Mohanlal's biggest hit rasathanthram after Narasimham's career earned only Rs 55+ lakh from Kozhikode. Later, many Mohanlal films came and went, but till 2013, no actor other than Mammootty has surpassed that record collection more than once ... !!!

The vesham was screened for 50 days in 29 of the 32 centers that were released. The film, which completed 75 days in 5 centers, grossed around Rs 6+ crore in 40 days from the release centers alone. The film, which had a record collection of Rs 2 crore 10 lakhs in its first week, has set a record collection in small and large centers in the Malabar area ... !! Perinthalmanna won a record collection at KC Movies and performed there for 65 days at regular shows. Also, a record collection has been written and added to the Tirur Center !!!

Chattambinad, which has amassed a collection of over Rs 8 crore in just 22 days, became the highest grossing film of 2009 after Pazhassi and 2 Harihar Nagar. Even in the main centers, Chattambinad leads far ahead than other X'mas films. In just 36 days, Chattambinad got Rs 40.35 lakh from Kozhikode Main Center, while ividam Swargamanu got only Rs 19 lakh in 35 days. While Chattambinad got Rs 34 lakh from Thiruvananthapuram in 35 days, ividam Swargamanu got only Rs 30 lakh here too.
Released in 66 theaters, the film completed 50 days in 8 theaters. Along with Pazhashiraja, the film which was in the Top 3 Grossers of the year, Mammootty's Kannada language style and performance is still a favorite with the audience and the characters in it ... !!!
