35 YEARS OF AVANAAZHI MALAYALAM MOVIE

'Avanazi' is one of the most celebrated films in the history of Malayalam cinema.

Avanazi, who broke the all time record in the initial pulling in the history of Malayalam cinema, is still alive in Malayalam cinema with the magical performance of the iconic film and the character Mammootty, giving a different feel to the police version.
Avanazi released on September 12, 1986 in Malayalam. Mammootty played the role of Inspector Balram in a new series that Malayalam cinema had never seen before. With that, Avanazi set an all-time record in the Malayalam industry by grossing Rs 21 lakh with 5 lakh ticket sales in just one week. (Remember, Rajavinte makan, which was released that year, was one of the biggest hits of Mohanlal's career. Even its final collection was between 75-85 lakhs).
Even the then blockbuster film of the twentieth century, Mohanlal's, which was released after becoming a superstar, was released in 13 centers. That was the legend of Mammootty. With this, the theatrical status of Avanazi was an all time record even in the Class A long run along with the record initials.
Avanazi was a record collection not only in Kerala but also in GCC. We can see reports from theater owners that a large number of people come to the GCC only when Mammootty films come out.
When you hear that there weren't many films to read similarly with Avanazi in the '80s, you have to assume that the flow of records that Avanazi grabbed at the box office was huge. ⁇
When it took one or two years for the hit Malayalam movies to run up to Class D including ABC Run, the gross collection of Avanazi in just 140 days was over 1 crore, which surprised even the cinema circles of that time. Considering that even the twentieth century super hit movie in Malayalam has grossed Rs 2 crore in 500+ days, which can establish that this gross collection of over Rs 1 crore, which was achieved a few days back half a year ago, is not an all-time record?⁇
Avanazi is a film about SN Swamy, a writer who once had a golden age. It was the result of Inspector Balram's ability to gain so much influence in the audience. He has seen Avanazi 35 times to inspire Ranji Panicker to write Commissioner ... !!
Avanazi was re-released in 1998 in 16 centers to make history. Even after its re-release, the film completed 50 days at the Thiruvananthapuram Atulya Complex, grossed Rs 35 lakh in two weeks in North Kerala and 4 days in Thiruvananthapuram. After two weeks in Thiruvananthapuram and after house full shows, Avanazi became the second re released film to complete 50 days after Kuttichathan .. !!
Avanazi is still one of the best iconic police films and characters of all time in Malayalam cinema. ⁇
