"CBI Sethuramayyar comes third for 15 years"
The news released by the CBI in 2003 was a thrilling news for the fans and movie lovers.

This is the scene where Sethuramayya is introduced to the audience for the first time in the 1988 CBI diary. Since then, Sethuramayya has become one of the most Characteristic and Iconic characters in the history of Malayalam cinema.
Therefore, the third coming of Sethuramayya was received by the Malayalee audience with the same enthusiasm as the previous two films and it was the biggest success of the year, starting with the grand initial collection. 
Sethuramayya's success of the CBI is well known. However, the achievements of CBI Part III outside Kerala are unknown to many. Like the first two parts, Part 3, this time we are releasing clear evidence of success in Rest of India outside Kerala, as well as records made in Kerala ....
After the break, Sethuramayya completes 50 days in Tamil Nadu without dubbing a Malayalam film through the CBI. The film, which was screened for 50 days at Chennai Satyam Complex and Coimbatore Royal, made history in the third season. The fact that all the films in a series have been equally successful in Kerala and Tamil Nadu is the only achievement claimed by the CBI
The film was a success not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Mumbai for 25 days. The CBI has also bagged the biggest Rest of India gross ever for a Malayalam film.
The film, which grossed an all-time record share of Rs 70 lakh in its first week in Kerala, has grossed over Rs 2 crore in its first week. In 26 days, Ernakulam has achieved an all time record collection of 30 lakhs from poetry. In 42 days, it collected 1 crore 20 lakh gross from Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode centers alone. The CBI had the largest record collection of Ernakulam poetry in 100 days
Of the 3 highest grossing films of the year (Sethuramayya CBI, Runway, Vesham) 2 were Mammootty films .. and the year 2004 was literally Mammootty's. Of the 6 films released, 4 (Sethuramayya, Sight, Black, Costume) were a great success, and two other films (Diamond, The Stranger) were withdrawn from the cast, despite the high expectations or the fuss. Apart from these, Mammootty won the State Award for Best Actor and the Filmfare Award for 'Kazhcha'.
Shortly after the success of Sethuramayya, one of the number one blockbusters in Malayalam cinema, the CBI was able to release Part 4 in 2005. Audiences have been eagerly awaiting the director's announcement that the 5th part of the CBI series is coming soon after another 15 years.
