Heavenly Chronic withdrew from Chronic Bachelor as filming was delayed to begin as a Christmas film. Liberty Bashir then took over Chronic Bachelor, started shooting for the 2003 Vishu film and expressed dissatisfaction with the film's budget.
The shooting of the chronic bachelor was interrupted due to some problems between Siddiqui and Liberty Bashir.
After solving the problems, Fazil took over from Liberty Bashir. Liberty Bashir goes to court against Chronic Bachelor after the shooting is over - Theater owners have been notified that the film will not be released on Vishu. Bachelor, which was charted in 35 theaters, was released in only 22 theaters. Chronic Bachelor, who overcame all the difficulties and reached the theater, is far behind the other Vishu films and has achieved great success in 6 centers after 100 days.
Changanassery broke the record of Meesha Madhavan and Narasimham in abinaya. Kollam Pranavam, Perinthalmanna Jahanara was record in these centers too ... !!!
It has got a 4cr share from final run and earned as a blockbuster tag despite of all difficulties which film has come across. the 2nd top grosser of 2003 was mohanlal starrer balettan also got distributed share around 4cr.
